POINT RICHMOND, CA, MAY 9, 2018 – The Pacific Cup Yacht Club is honored to announce PAU Maui Vodka’s official sponsorship of “The FUN Race to Hawaii’s” Awards Night for the 2018 Pacific Cup, July 27 at the Kaneohe Yacht Club in Oahu. “PAU Maui Vodka represents another great addition to the Pacific Cup family and we are excited to have them on board to welcome our racers to the Awards Night party in Kaneohe,” says Commodore Buzz Blackett.

Sailors, families and friends will reunite at Awards Night and enjoy a spectacular evening accompanied by PAU Maui Vodka and signature “PacCup Mule” drinks. “PAU Maui Vodka is excited to continue our support of offshore sailing to Hawaii by sponsoring the 20th edition of the Pacific Cup. Sailors participating in the race share our affinity for the ocean and experience first-hand the pollution that endangers it,” says Brad Gilreath, Vice President, Marketing, PAU Maui Vodka.
This year marks the Pacific Cup’s 20th edition. The "FUN Race to Hawaii" runs every even year from San Francisco to Hawaii. Started in 1980, the race has been enjoyed by thousands of racers sailing well over a million miles in total. The 2018 Pacific Cup will start the week of July 9, 2018, and invites well-prepared boats to race to the warm, welcoming shores of Kaneohe Bay, Oahu.

Distilled from the universal symbol of hospitality, the pineapple, PAU Maui Vodka is the perfect libation to welcome others to a home, dinner table, or celebration. It is handcrafted from locally sourced ingredients in the heart of the pineapple region of Upcountry Maui using unique glass stills, Hawaiian spring water, and world-famous Maui Gold® Pineapple.
